"Interbeing" print - Thich Nhat Hanh

“Interbeing” was created by Thay during the Vietnam War and he joined Buddhist morality and contemporary social concerns.

This beautiful enso calligraphy integrates a slogan-like phrase that expresses his simple but powerful dharma teachings. Thay introduced this vocabulary of “interbeing” into north American Buddhism. This term is coined from the thought to take care of everything within us without discrimination because nothing can exist by itself, and everything is interconnected. Living in this non-duality will limit suffering.

"Interbeing" is one of a series of original calligraphies Thich Nhat Hanh gave to the Lion’s Roar Foundation. Created from a place of mindful breathing, sitting, compassion, and love, it is offered here in print form for you to contemplate and enjoy as a reminder of Thay’s wisdom.
