Choro  is a seeker, adventurer, and lover of nature and poetry. As a practitioner of Zen Buddhism, they are deeply connected to the natural world and find their greatest joy by the ocean—hiking, camping, cycling, bikepacking, and foraging for materials to make ink.

Cultivating stillness, looking deeply into the nature of things, and living a life of non-harm provide the landscape of Choro’s life, guided by the Three Tenets—not knowing, bearing witness to suffering, and compassionate action. Their ink drawings become meditation in art form, capturing moments of presence and the interconnected beauty of all beings.

Choro divides their time between Santa Fe, New Mexico and the Hudson Valley with their beloved person, their dog River, and all the wonderful beings that share the land.
