Thich Nhat Hanh’s (Thay’s) calligraphy is more than the moment where brush meets paper. It begins long before the in-breath, cultivated in his everyday life. His work of Zen calligraphies embodies the energies of insight, conceived in the moment. When Thay draws he does not think, he is just enjoying the drawing, and the breath is the tool that makes this present moment accessible for him.
These calligraphies were created from a place of mindful breathing, sitting, compassion, and love. The originals were given to Lion's Roar Foundation before interviews. These calligraphies reproductions are offered here in print form for you to enjoy as a reminder of Thay’s wisdom.
Proceeds from the sales of Thich Nhat Hanh prints are shared with Thich Nhat Hanh's Unified Buddhist Church.
