Olivier Adam travels extensively with The Dalai Lama photographing his public events. Since 2008 he's also been personally involved in working with nunneries in and around Dharamsala supporting nuns in exile and, in the years since, turning his camera to the landscapes, architecture, rituals, and lives of Buddhist peoples and using proceeds from his photographs to extend and expand the work of supporting nuns around and throughout the Himalayas.
Adam was trained as a physicist and gradually turned to photography. He now works as a freelance photographer and teaches in Paris at the Auguste Renoir School of Photography. He collaborated with Sofia Stril-Rever, Matthieu Ricard, and Manuel Bauer on the creation of the book: Kalachakra: A Mandala for Peace, and is a regular contributor to English and French language magazines. Olivier also works regularly for the Private Office of His Holiness Dalai Lama as official photographer during the Dalai Lama's European visits.
